Meringue
Ingredients
- Egg Whites
- Sugar (1/4 cup per egg)
- Cream of tartar (1/8 tsp per egg) or lemon juice (1/2 tsp per egg)
- Vanilla (1/3 tsp per egg)
- Salt (pinch)
Steps
- Beat egg whites until frothy
- Add all except sugar
- Beat to soft peaks
- Gradually add sugar
- Beat to stiff peaks
Optional
For cookies
- 250 deg, 25-30 minutes
- Turn off and cool slowly
